Police charge 4 suspects in separate robberies

Winnipeg police have charged four men in connection with several robberies in the city.

The first dates back to Sept. 17 when two men forced their way into the Polo Park Future Shop at closing time.  

The suspects took out a handgun, while staff ran for safety. The men ended up leaving empty handed. 

Then on Oct. 22 two men armed with gun broke into a home in the 100 block of Bourkevale Drive and stole jewellery, liquor, electronics and a shotgun, police said. 

The Winnipeg police Major Crimes Unit arrested the men, both 22 years old, on Thursday. 

Pizza delivery person robbed 

The second robbery begun with an incident on Wednesday night when a man and two other people contacted a pizza restaurant and placed an order for delivery in the 200 block of Burrows Avenue. 

When the pizza arrived at 10:30 p.m. the suspects pulled out a knife and robbed the delivery person of the food and cash, police said. No one was injured. 

On Halloween night, another delivery person from a different business was robbed by the suspects. 

Friday police arrested two men on Burrows Avenue. A 25-year-old man and a 19-year-old man are facing several charges including robbery with a weapon and possession of a weapon.
