Police bust grow op in Winnipeg's Weston area

A 38-year-old Winnipeg man is facing drug trafficking charges after police raided a home in the city's Weston neighbourhood.

A 38-year-old Winnipeg man is facing drug trafficking charges after police raided a home in the city's Weston neighbourhood.

The raid happened Thursday at the home in the 2000 block of Gallagher Avenue.

Police seized:

  • 285 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $319,200.
  • 3 kilograms of packaged marijuana with an estimated street value of $16,250.
  • Grow op equipment valued at $10,000.
  • $660 in Canadian currency
