A blade broke off a plow driving down a Manitoba highway Thursday morning, sending two cars into the ditch.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m. on Highway 17 in the RM of St. Andrews.

RCMP said a wing blade of a plow truck broke off and was hit by two vehicles. Both ended up in the ditch.

A 29-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The plow driver and the driver of the other vehicle were not hurt, according to RCMP.
