Pair of snow leopard cubs born at Winnipeg zoo
Cubs to be put on display at Assinboine Park Zoo in coming weeks
Two new spotted babies have arrived at Assiniboine Park Zoo.
The zoo’s only female snow leopard gave birth to two baby cubs on June 29. This week, zoo officials made the news public.
Officials said the mother and her cubs are in good health. It’s the first time the zoo’s adult snow leopards have given birth.
The mom, named Batu, and her cubs will be hidden from the public until they are done their neonatal exams.
Zoo officials said they should know in about two or three weeks when the cubs can be put on display.
