Obby Khan will be continuing his football career in Winnipeg.

The former offensive lineman with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers has been hired by the University of Manitoba Bisons.

Khan will work as an assistant coach with the team in their new stadium.

Khan announced his retirement from the CFL in April 2012, after playing for six years with the Winnipe Blue Bombers.

He returned to the CFL briefly to play with the Calgary Stampeders later that year before officially retiring.

After his stint with the Stampeders, he returned to Winnipeg and opened a restaurant in the Exchange District.

More details on Khan’s deal with the Bisons are expected to be released Tuesday.
