A 69-year-old Oak Lake man has died from injuries he received in a crash Wednesay, RCMP said Friday.

The man was the driver of a Pontiac that struck a Chevrolet Suburban at the corner of Highway 1 and PR 332 just after 6:30 pm on Jan. 8.

Police said both vehicles were each carrying three people. All three occupants in the Pontiac and one from the Suburban were transported to Winnipeg hospital with multiple injuries, none believed to be life-threatening at the time.

The driver and front passenger of the Suburban were treated and released.

RCMP said though they were notified Thursday that the driver of the Pontiac had succumbed to his injuries. His name will not be released.

Police said the two passengers in the Pontiac, a 63-year-old woman and a 67-year-old woman, remain in hospital, as well as a 38-year-old female passenger from the Suburban.

RCMP said alcohol is not a factor in the crash, but their investigation continues.
