New North End website highlights good in neighbourhood
North End Community Renewal Corporation launches NorthEndYouth.ca
“These young people can now define their own success,” said Michael Champagne, who is on the board of the Metis organization who launched the website. “These young people can share the stories that are meaningful to them and give them an element of control, in the way that they represent themselves and their neighbourhood.”
NorthEndYouth.ca was a project from the North End Community Renewal Corporation.
According to Champagne, the idea for the project came from a youth forum last year. Youth wanted a way to highlight the positives going on in their community.
