MTS restores service in most Winnipeg homes affected by outage
MTS crews have restored phone, internet and TV access to most of the homes in south Winnipeg that had been without those services since Saturday.
Fewer than 1,000 customers in Winnipeg's Fort Rouge and Fort Garry neighbourhoods have been affected by the outage, which was caused by damaged cables.
City of Winnipeg crews were fixing a water main break near Waller Avenue and Donnelly Street on Saturday when multiple MTS underground network cables were cut.
While most of the affected customers have their MTS services back, the company says technicians will continue repair work on Tuesday night to about 150 remaining customers.
