A 22-year-old man is dead following a crash Friday morning in Shoal Lake, Man., involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck, RCMP say.
According to the local detachment of the RCMP, the crash took place around 9 a.m. CT at the intersection of Station Road and 1st Avenue in the community, which is about 280 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
Police said the motorcycle was going south when it collided head-on with the truck, which was going north.
The rider was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. No name was released.
Police said the 54-year-old driver of the truck was not injured.
A traffic collision analyst is helping with the investigation, which was continuing police said.
