More than 100 people took the Polar Plunge in Winnipeg Saturday to raise money for the Special Olympics Manitoba.
This was the first time the event was held, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Law Enforcement Torch Run in Manitoba.
The plunge was held at the Investors Group Field at about 1 p.m. CST.
Brave souls dove into large bins filled with ice, cold water.
Several mascots including Copper from the Winnipeg Police Service and Buzz & Boomer of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were there to cheer participants on.
All money raised from the event will go to Manitobans living with intellectual disabilities through the Special Olympics.
