About five more centimeters is expected to fall in Winnipeg, starting Wednesday evening and throughout the night.

Other areas will likely be hit somewhat harder. A snowfall warning is in effect for Brandon, Minnedosa, Russell, Killarney, Boissevan, Virden and Souris.

Anywhere from 10 to 15 centimeters is expected through that southwest corner, starting Wednesday afternoon and going into the evening.

A strong southeast wind will also whip up the fluffy stuff, resulting in poor visibility.

Conditions will improve in the southwest overnight and in the southeast Thursday morning, according to Environment Canada.
