The big freeze is coming for the weekend in Winnipeg, so enjoy the mild temperatures right now.

A week of daytime highs well above normal will continue to linger until Friday. After that the temperature drops like a rock, plummeting to –20 C and –22 C for Saturday and Sunday.

Normals for this time of year are a daytime high of –13 C and overnight low of –24 C.
