Two men have been charged in connection to a string of garage break-ins in Winnipeg.

A number of attached and detached garages were broken into between May 15 and June 24 and items, including bikes and power tools, stolen.

The garages targeted were in the city's West End, River Heights, and St. James areas:

  • 900 block of Dominion Street
  • 200 block of Montrose Street
  • 200 block of Montrose Street
  • 100 block of Cambridge Street
  • 100 block of Cambridge Street
  • 200 block of Cambridge Street
  • 100 block of Winston Road

A 28-year-old man is charged with 15 counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

A 39-year-old man is charged with numerous offences, including break, enter and theft, possession of property obtained by crime, mischief, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Both men remain in custody.
