A Manitoba mayor is in hospital after being hit by a car Monday morning.

A Manitoba mayor is in hospital after being hit by a car Monday morning.
Bill Wiebe is the mayor of MacGregor in southern Manitoba. The 75 year old was cycling in the town around 7 a.m. when he was hit.
Wiebe was rushed to a Winnipeg hospital with serious injuries but has now been upgraded to stable condition.
RCMP said the driver of the vehicle was a 26-year-old man from Carberry. He was not injured in the crash.
RCMP are investigating the crash.
