Police tape surrounds the entrance to a notorious Winnipeg hotel where a man was found dead.
Officers were called to the Manwin Hotel on Main Street around 10:30 p.m. Sunday about a man covered in blood and lying on the lobby floor, not breathing, said police spokeswoman Const. Tammy Skrabek.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Winnipeg police are investigating the death as a homicide.
The identification unit remained at the hotel, between Henry and Logan avenues, as of Monday morning.
The Manwin has been the scene of many violent crimes over the years.
