While the look of the real Winnipeg Jets jerseys remains a mystery, police and Canada Border Services agents in Manitoba seized a shipment of counterfeit jerseys coming into the country last week.

RCMP said that on Aug. 21 they seized a shipment of 40 jerseys, complete with the Jets new logo and shoulder flashes.

The jerseys did not have players names or numbers but the estimated retail value is about $12,000.

Although the new NHL team has yet to unveil its jersey design and colours, the logo and trademarks have been released and products with the logo are being marketed.

RCMP are continuing the investigation. Charges have not been laid but are being contemplated under the Copyright Act and the Trademark and Textile Act.
