Manitoba man, 29, killed after SUV rolls into water-filled ditch
Alcohol a factor in fatal rollover near Clearwater Lake, The Pas RCMP say
A 29-year-old man is dead after an SUV rolled and landed into a water-filled ditch near Clearwater Lake in Manitoba.
RCMP said the crash happened just before 9 a.m. on Monday.
The Pas RCMP arrived to find an SUV upside down in a water-filled ditch beside Highway 297, about 25 kilometres east of Clearwater Lake.
The passenger of the SUV, a 20-year-old man from Cormorant, Man., was able to escape, but the driver, a 29-year-old man from Opaskwayak Cree Nation, was pronounced dead at the scene.
