Manitoba Hydro customers in parts of Osborne Village and the east Exchange District will be temporarily without electricity on Wednesday as crews conduct maintenance work.

There is a planned outage from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., affecting about 60 customers between Jessie and Warsaw avenues, from Daly Street N. to Hugo Street N., the public power utility said.

Another power outage is planned for 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday from Rupert Avenue at Amy Street South to Lombard Avenue at Rorie Street, from Waterfront Drive west to Main Street, so crews can install a new hydro pole in the area.

About 261 customers will be affected by the evening outage, Manitoba Hydro said.

Elsewhere in Winnipeg, there will be a brief power outage on Sunday between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. in an area between Manhattan Avenue S. to Nairn Avenue, from Stapleton Street west to Gateway Road, Hydro said.
