Man struck by part of garbage truck rushed to hospital

A man has been rushed to hospital in unstable condition after being struck by a moving part of a garbage truck.

A man has been rushed to hospital in unstable condition after being struck by a moving part of a garbage truck. 

Emergency crews responded to the 100 block of Spence Street just before noon, police said. 

The man, who is in his 20s, was working for Emterra Environment. 

Provincial Workplace Health and Safety is investigating the incident. 

Police are not considering the accident a criminal in nature.
