One man is in hospital after another stabbing in Winnipeg.

Police were called to Osborne Street in the heart of the village at about 1 a.m. Friday.

A man with wounds to his upper body was rushed to hospital in unstable condition.

Police have one suspect in custody.

No further information is available.

The incident is the latest in a string of stabbings in the past week.

Since June 27 there have been seven stabbings involving 11 victims.

One of those people, a man stabbed on Main Street, not far from The Forks celebrations on Canada Day, died.
