A man died in a two-vehicle crash on an icy highway near Swan River, Man., on Wednesday, RCMP said.
The crash happened at about 10:15 a.m. on Provincial Highway 10, about 10 kilometres east of the town of Swan River.
Police said paramedics pronounced the driver of an eastbound car dead at the scene.
His car had collided with a westbound pickup truck, police said, adding that roads were slippery with frost at the time of the collision.
The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, RCMP said.
Police did not give the age or identity of the man who died.
Swan River is located about 500 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg, near the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border.
