Man dies in cement truck crash in Manitoba
A 41-year-old man is dead after a crash involving a cement truck in Selkirk, Manitoba.
The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. Thursday on Colonization Road, east of Highway 59, RCMP said.
When officers arrived, a cement truck was on its driver’s side in the west ditch. The driver, a 41-year-old man from the Rural Municipality of St. Clements, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the collision, police said.
His name is not being released to the public.
Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety was notified of the incident and is assisting with the investigation.
