Man dies at work after accident near St. Jean Baptiste

A 32 year old man is dead after a truck rolled over him while he was at work near St. Jean Baptiste Friday afternoon.

A 32-year-old man is dead after a truck rolled over him while he was at work near St. Jean Baptiste Friday afternoon.

Around 5:30 p.m., the man — who was employed by a service provider to specialty crop processor Legumex Walker — was working when a lift truck rolled off of a trailer and onto him.

Crews were loading the lift truck onto a trailer when it began rolling.

The man was rushed to a Morris hospital and later pronounced dead. Police are not revealing the man’s identity but said he was from the RM of Rhineland.

RCMP and Manitoba’s Workplace Safety and Health Division are now investigating the incident.

RCMP said foul play is not suspected.
