A 62-year-old man has died after the pickup truck he was driving was struck by a grain truck on a southern Manitoba highway on Wednesday.
RCMP say the collision happened at around 5:30 p.m. on Highway 30 near Highway 14 in the Rural Municipality of Rhineland.
According to police, it appears the northbound two-trailer grain truck had hit the southbound pickup truck.
The 62-year-old man driving the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 50-year-old woman who was a passenger was taken to hospital in Altona, Man., with undetermined injuries.
RCMP did not release the name of the deceased driver.
Driving conditions are believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
