A 30-year-old Winnipeg man is facing multiple charges after two women were sexually assaulted at a Main Street business.

Police said officers were called to a business in the 1000 block of Main Street around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

There they found two women who had been sexually assaulted.

The women, 36 and 43 years old, said a man separated them and locked them in different rooms. He then sexually assaulted them.

The second victim was able to fend off the man, and he fled the business, according to police.

Five hours later, at 7:30 p.m., police found and arrested a 30-year-old man.

He is now facing multiple charges including sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and uttering threats.
