Four people, including two teenage girls, are in custody after a violent home invasion in Steinbach, Man.

According to RCMP, a man was assaulted after three people forced their way into his home on Third Street just after 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The man was hit in the head with a metal bar before being forced to walk to a local bank and withdraw money, police said.

After handing over the money, the man was hit again, and the suspects walked away, police said.

Two girls, aged 16 and 17, and two men, aged 21 and 19, were arrested and face a number of charges including forcible confinement and robbery with a weapon.

Police said the victim knew the two girls.
