Man arrested in Brandon suspicious death
Aaron Daniel Jardine, 31, was found unresponsive in housing complex
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Brandon, Man., last week, while police are looking for two other suspects.
Police in the western Manitoba city were called on Aug. 28 to the 1000 block of Louise Avenue, where they found Aaron Daniel Jardine unresponsive inside a suite in a housing co-op. He later died.
The 18-year-old man, who is from Brandon, was arrested on Friday and faces charges of robbery with violence, aggravated assault, forcible confinement and assault with a weapon, police said in a release.
An arrest warrant has been issued for a second man, 21-year-old Jordan Codie Cook of the Indian Birch First Nation, on the same charges.
A third suspect is also being sought and more charges may possibly be laid, according to police.
Police say they believe Jardine was violently robbed within 48 hours of his body being discovered.
