A 40-year-old man has died after his pickup truck rolled over in the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie on Friday, say RCMP.
According to the local RCMP detachment, the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. CT on a rural road in the area.
They said a 1998 GMC pickup left the roadway and rolled over at least once.
The driver, the only person in the truck, was ejected from the vehicle. Police said he died at the scene.
No name was released, but police said the man was from the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie.
Police said they were continuing to investigate but noted that the man who died was not wearing a seatbelt.
Weather is not considered to be a factor in the rollover, an RCMP spokesman told CBC News.
Portage la Prairie is about 80 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
