Man, 24, dies after being caught in machine at workplace
A 24-year-old man is dead after being caught in an industrial machine in western Manitoba.
It happened Thursday at 2:15 a.m., in the Rural Municipality of Whitehead, approximately 10 kilometres northwest of Alexander, Manitoba.
The man, from the RM of North Cypress, was working a night shift when he became caught in the machine, RCMP said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not say what kind of machine it was, or the type of business where the man was working.
Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health is assisting with the investigation.
The name of the man is not being released to the public, RCMP said.
