Police said the man, who was driving a Ford Focus, rear-ended a parked tow-truck in the area of Pembina Highway and Jubilee Avenue at about 1 a.m.

The tow-truck was parked in a southbound direction on Pembina helping other drivers who were involved in an unrelated matter.

No one was in the tow-truck at the time of the crash.

Alcohol is not considered to be a factor.

Southbound Pembina was closed to traffic while officers were investigating, it has since been reopened.
