Over a dozen Charleswood homes were without water on Sunday after a watermain break leaked water onto Laxdal Road.

Crews were out at the scene trying to repair the break for hours on Sunday, beginning at 8 a.m.

The break happened on Laxdal between Ridgewood and Brittany Drive, cutting off water to 16 homes.

A temporary water truck was brought in for those residents.

The area has been plagued by breaks in recent months. On Jan. 3, the area had experienced nine breaks in one week.

The Laxdal watermain is slated to be replaced this year.
