Jennifer Jones and her team won Manitoba's Scotties Tournament of Hearts provincial championship, edging out Chelsea Carey's rink 6-5 in the final Sunday in Portage la Prairie, Man.
Both teams were tied 5-5 going into the 10th end at PCU Centre, but Jones's accuracy led to her rink's victory in the end.
Sunday's win means this is the fifth Manitoba women's curling title for Jones and her St. Vital teammates: third Kaitlyn Lawes, second Jill Officer and lead Dawn Askin, along with fifth Jennifer Clark-Rouire and coach Janet Arnott.
It is also the second year in row that Carey's rink from Morden has lost in the provincial final.
Jones's team will represent Manitoba at the national Scotties Tournament of Hearts tournament in Red Deer, Alta., from Feb. 18-26.
