Jets smacked out of playoffs, coach smacked on head
Errant puck hits Paul Maurice during first period of game with Penguins Thursday night
As if to add injury to insult, Winnipeg Jets' coach Paul Maurice got hit by a puck during Thursday night's loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
He stayed behind the bench for the rest of the game, sporting a gash on his forehead.
CBC's Jets blogger Jeff Hamilton said Maurice was in visible pain but still quipped about the incident, saying he “felt just great.”
