Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane missed practice on Thursday after an injury resulted in him being helped off the ice the day before.

Kane was running drills Wednesday afternoon when he collided with fellow player Anthony Peluso. He appeared to have injured his right leg in the tussle and had to be helped off the ice by his teammates.

Kane was able to attend a Jets gala Wednesday night but was noticeably absent from practice on Thursday afternoon.

Head coach Claude Noel told the media after practice that Kane was going day-to-day with his injury and could play in the team's Friday night's game against the St. Louis Blues.
