A construction worker was airlifted to hospital after suffering an electric shock on the Trans-Canada Highway in western Manitoba on Friday.
It happened just west of Portage la Prairie while gravel was being laid down for road construction. The man who was hurt was an equipment operator, RCMP said.
There's no word on his condition.
Westbound traffic is being rerouted on the highway in the area.
Officials with the provincial workplace safety and health department are investigating.
