The Trans-Canada Highway between Brandon, Man., and the Saskatchewan border has been reopened, but icy conditions still remain, according to the RCMP.
The stretch of highway was closed Saturday morning because of rough driving conditions.
Travel is not advised on most highways in the southern part of Manitoba as they are are ice-covered and very slippery.
There is also a freezing rain warning in effect for Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie.
A snowfall warning is also in place for communities further north, up to the Poplar River and Grand Rapids area, with 10 to 15 centimetres of snow expected.
