Hundreds without power after Saturday storms, says Manitoba Hydro
Manitoba Hydro working Sunday to restore power to areas of southwest Manitoba
Manitoba Hydro crews are hard at work trying to get hundreds of customers back online after Saturday night storms.
Crews are primarily focusing on Brandon currently, where there are still dozens of trees that need to be cleared off lines and several poles that need replacing.
A Manitoba Hydro spokesman couldn't say how many customers are still without power, but the numbers are in the hundreds.
Close to 200 are still without power in Minto south of Brandon after five hydro poles were blown down by the storm.
Hydro said most residents in Killarney and Virden are back online but it can’t yet confirm when power will be restored to other customers.
