One person was injured after a fire broke out in a home on Lydia Street in Winnipeg's West Alexander area on Wednesday.

Fire crews were called to the house at about 12:30 a.m. Everyone made it out safely but one person suffered minor injuries.

Fire officials did not say if that person was a man or woman.

The fire appeared to have started in a second-storey bedroom, causing an estimated $120,000 in fire, smoke and water damage.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
