A 69-year-old man from Carberry, Man., has died following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 10 south of Brandon this afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the highway, near Road 48 North, at around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
RCMP say the man was driving northbound on Highway 10 when his car collided with a southbound sport-utility vehicle.
The man was pronounced dead in hospital, while an 87-year-old woman from Hartney, Man., who was driving the SUV is in stable condition.
RCMP did not release the man's name.
The initial investigation indicates the car had drifted across the centre line, according to police.
Police said alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, and it appears that both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
