A man is in a Winnipeg hospital after the pickup truck he was driving rolled over on Gunn Road near the Perimeter Highway late Monday afternoon.
RCMP and Winnipeg paramedics were called shortly after 5 p.m. CT to the single-vehicle collision.
Police say they believe the male driver was heading east on Gunn Road, towing a trailer with a skid steer with his pickup truck, when he lost control of the vehicle.
The truck rolled and landed on its roof, pinning the driver underneath, according to police.
Some passersby stopped and helped crews lift the truck and free the driver.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken to hospital. RCMP say they did not know what condition he was in as of 8 p.m.
Gunn Road from Redonda Street to the Perimeter Highway has been closed to traffic as a result of the rollover, but police say traffic should be restored by around 9 p.m.
RCMP officers from Oakbank and Beausejour have been at the scene, as well as an RCMP traffic analyst.
Crash near Beausejour kills 1
The Gunn Road rollover was not the only serious incident on Manitoba's highways on Monday.
Earlier in the day, a man died following a head-on collision between a semi-trailer and a half-ton truck on Highway 44, east of Beausejour, Man.
RCMP say the driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the semi was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The impact of the collision, which took place at about 11:30 a.m., caused the semi to catch fire.
Traffic in the area was redirected for hours as the crash scene was cleaned up.
