Winnipeg police are looking for a group of 10 men after they attacked and “slashed” a 21-year-old man Friday morning.

The man was walking near Edmonton Street and St. Mary Avenue around 1 a.m. when a large group of men stopped him.

Two of the men emerged from the group, one armed with a gun and another armed with a knife.

They then beat and stabbed the 21 year old before robbing him of cash and cigarettes, according to police.

Now, police are looking for between eight and 10 suspects between the age of 18 and 25.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators at 204-986-6668 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
