In two separate incidents Friday, girls were approached by men in Transcona neighbourhoods.

Police said in the first incident around 5 p.m., a six-year-old girl walking near her home near McCalman Avenue and Chester Street noticed a vehicle following her.

She turned around at one point and headed in the opposite direction and the driver made a U turn and continued to follow her. Police said she ran home and reported the incident to her mother.

Police are looking for a man with black hair driving a blue truck.

In another incident around 8 p.m, a seven-year-old girl playing outside her home near Sanford Fleming Road and Plessis Road was approached by a man in a car who offered her candy to get into the vehicle. She ran home and told her parents.

Police are looking for a man 20 to 30 years old driving a newer model, white, four door car.

Police do not believe the incidents are related and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
