Neighbours held a vigil last night for a woman whose body was found in Tuxedo on Saturday.

About two dozen people, holding candles, remembered the woman where she was found outside the Doncaster Street courtyard where she lived.

Deborah LaPlante is the woman's former roommate.

"Sad to look out your kitchen window and see a body in your backyard and not know who it is," she said.

LaPlante said the woman, who was originally from Garden Hill, will be missed.

"(She was) funny, fun to be around, loved children, loved to laugh, loved to tease people."

Police haven't released the cause of death or the woman's identity pending notification of next of kin.

An autopsy is being done. Police are expected to release more details Monday.

"This is going to impact us for a while. I'm never going to walk across here and not think of her again."
