Dozens of young, hopeful Winnipeg Blue Bombers took to the pitch at Investors Group Field Saturday for the 5th annual KidSport football camp.
Former Blue Bomber Doug Brown was among the CFL players past and present to show the kids the ropes.
Along with coaching in the sport's technical side, the children also got pointers on leadership, dedication and self-confidence.
KidSport is a national charity administered by Sport Manitoba that allows underprivileged children to play organized sports.
Brown said a lack of money should not prevent kids from taking part.
"We reduce the barriers and we have over 100 kids out here today that really got to learn some skills and do some drills put on by these professional former and active players," he said.
