RCMP do not believe foul play is involved in the death of Gordon Brass, whose body was found near his home community in northern Manitoba late last week.
Searchers found the body of Brass, 42, on Friday afternoon, following a search that lasted about two weeks.
His body was found near Highway 10, not far from Birch River, Man.
RCMP confirmed on Tuesday that the body is that of Brass.
The investigation into his death continues but foul play is not suspected, according to police.
Search officials told CBC News on Friday they were devastated when volunteers discovered Brass's body less than half a mile from the community, in an area that had been previously searched.
