After putting in less than a full year’s work as the former City of Winnipeg Chief Administrative Offer, Phil Sheegl was Winnipeg's highest-paid employee for 2013.
- Police Chief Devon Clunis: $207,311
- Former Lead Entomologist Taz Stewart: $72,990
- Deputy Mayor Russ Wyatt: $117,507
- Mayor Sam Katz: $171,440
The city released its 2013 compensation disclosure report Monday, and Sheegl, former fire and paramedic Chief Reid Douglas and Police Chief Devon Clunis were atop the high-earners list.
Sheegl received more than $235 thousand in salary and benefits while Douglas took home more than $228 thousand last year.
Douglas left the city last September. He and Sheegl were central figures in the fire hall land swap scandal.
