Former Manitoba fire commissioner charged after audit
RCMP have charged a former Manitoba former fire commissioner with breach of trust, fraud and forgery.
Police said the charges against Christopher Jones stem from an audit that found he pocketed more than $55,000 using forged documents.
The incidents happened within the Office of the Fire Commissioner (OFC) between June 2009 and February 2011.
Jones has been released on a promise to appear in court next month.
