Environment Canada reporter visibility was down to just 400 metres at the airport at about 7 a.m.

As the fog moved downtown and began to swallow the tops of buildings, the visibility improved slightly outside the city to 800 metres by 7:30 a.m.

It should lift and burn away once the sun rises.
