A vacant building that once housed a restaurant, motel and bar in a Manitoba village has burned to the ground.

The blaze broke out at about 3 a.m. Thursday in St. Claude, located about 80 kilometres west of Winnipeg.

When RCMP arrived on scene they found the building fully engulfed in flames.

The structure is a complete write-off, RCMP said.

Investigators remain on scene, trying to determine the cause of the fire.

There no injuries reported.
