A garage fire in Winnipeg's North End caused about $25,000 damage.
It happened in the 400 block of Salter Street at about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
The single-vehicle garage and its contents, including a minivan, were destroyed.
Two neighbouring properties, a vehicle and hydro pole also sustained damage.
The blaze is considered suspicious, police said.
A few hours later and not far from Salter, fire crews were called to a burning house near the corner of Cathedral Avenue and McGregor Street.
Five people managed to get out of the home at about 5 a.m.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation. There are no damage estimates yet available.
